Every Thanksgiving my mom, Scarlett, made pecan pie and my sister, Leraine, made chocolate pie. I always wanted a little bit of chocolate and, because it was Thanksgiving, I felt like I also needed the pecan pie. So I’d cut a sliver of each and put them together to make a whole slice of pie.
This Chocolate Chess Pecan Pie with a Sesame Cookie Crust is an ode to that memory, a flawless blend of those two already perfect desserts. It renders me speechless and that’s not something I’m known for. No suggestions necessary for this decadent and chocolatey (but not too chocolatey) treat. Just open her up and cut a slice.

How many does it serve?
The pie is a standard 9”. How many that serves is up to you and your generosity.
How long will it keep? Should it be refrigerated? Can it be frozen?
If you're not going to enjoy the pie soon, please store in the refrigerator to help keep it fresh. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 10 days. If you need to wait longer, the pie can be stored in the freezer for 2-3 months. But don’t forget our pie is at its best at room temperature so bring it out of the fridge at least 30 minutes before you plan to eat it.
Can I include a gift message?
Absolutely. During checkout you’ll have the option to include a short note on the packing slip.
What’s the deal with shipping?
All orders are shipped via 2-Day FedEx on the Tuesday and Thursday following your order.
As much as we’d love to hand deliver your package, we haven’t figured that out yet. So we have to rely on FedEx to do that job for us and, while we have full faith, we are unable to guarantee delivery by a specific date.
Can my order be shipped to a P.O. Box?
Shucks, no. Our precious cargo is shipped through FedEx and they are unable to deliver to P.O. Boxes.
